In case of illness
It is quite possible that several of us will get COVID (or other illness) during the quarter and will need to stay away from the classroom for a period. Here are the accommodations I am planning:
* I will publish all the notes for my lectures online.
* I will not record the lectures I present in person. I expect that the lecture notes will provide a sufficient resource (and I know of various difficulties implementing recording of live lectures).
* The TA and I will make accommodations regarding assignments on a case-by-case basis for students experiencing illness or other issues.
* If I need to be away due to illness, I will give my lectures on zoom (if I am well enough). In that case I will record them since attending on zoom might not fit a schedule built around attending in person.
